
Linda Lee Pearson, 52, died Wednesday, November 05, 2014 at her home in Dinwiddie, Virginia, after fighting a three-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was blessed to have been surrounded by those who loved her most – her immediate family and close friends Michael and Faith Tannenbaum of Sanford, NC.
Prior to her cancer diagnosis, Linda dedicated 26 years of her life teaching elementary education at Hanalani Christian School in Mililani, Hawaii; Walnut Hill Elementary in Petersburg, VA; and Sunnyside Elementary in McKenny, VA.
Ms. Pearson was born on March 14, 1962, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and was a 1980 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School and a 1984 graduate of Bob Jones University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
She is survived by her parents, Frankie and Effie Pearson of Roanoke Rapids; sisters Odell (Jason) Holliday of Roanoke Rapids; Nancy (Harry) Turner of Colonial Heights, VA; Frances (Ken) Morris of Roanoke Rapids; brother Frank (Misty) Pearson, Jr., of Chester, VA; grandmother Mamie Pearson of Roanoke Rapids; niece Ashley Turner of Colonial Heights, VA; nephews Owen Turner, Jr., of Colonial Heights, VA; Scott and Landen Morris of Roanoke Rapids; and Austin Trey Pearson of Chester, VA. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Jack Pearson.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Highway, in Colonial Heights, VA.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, VA, with Pastor Ray Haskett officiating. Arrangements are being handled by E. Alvin Small Funeral Home in Colonial Heights, VA.
Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC, at 4 p.m., with the assistance of Hockaday Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids.
